This tour takes you from modern world of Bucharest to most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites and also rural areas seemingly forgotten by time. The basic itinerary includes 12 nights accommodation, breakfast, transportation services, local guide - tour manager, entrance fees.
Day 1: Arrival `Henri Coanda` International Airport from Bucharest. Transfer to the 4-star Hotel Ramada Park for an overnight stay.
Day 2: City tour of Bucharest includes the Palace of the Parliament, Metropolitan Church, Romanian Athenaeum and Arch of Triumph. Later visit the Village Museum with time for lunch. Leisure time in the evening.
Day 3: Full-day tour of Peles Castle and a visit to local monastery in Sinaia. Drive to Brasov and check-in at Ramada 4* hotel in Brasov.
Day 4: After breakfast departure to Bran Castle. The day continues with a visit of the most important city in the area: Brasov. After the tour, return to the Ramada Hotel.
Day 5: Visit Biertan Fortified Church – UNESCO World Heritage. Travel to Sighisoara, visiting the fortified town. One night is spent at the 3* Hotel Sighisoara.
Day 6: Breakfast followed by early departure to Bucovina (north-eastern part of Romania). Stop-over in the centre of Targu Mures and Bistrita. Drive through Oriental Carpathians; arrival in Gura Humorului. Accommodation at 4* hotel Toaca Bellevue.
Day 7: Travel to the heart of Bucovina and see Voronet, Moldovita and Sucevita nunneries. Before returning to the hotel in Gura Humorului, a stop-over at Marginea workshop.
Day 8: Travel to the UNESCO wooden churches in Maramures. The northern-most point on the tour is the town of Sighetu Marmatiei, close to the Ukrainian border. Visit of the Memorial Museum. Accommodation at 3* hotel in Sighetu Marmatiei.
Day 9: Sightseeing in Maramures county includes Sapanta Merry Cemetery, Surdesti and Budesti wooden churches. Short stop in Baia Mare for lunch in downtown area. Stay overnight at the 3* hotel in Sighetu Marmatiei.
Day 10: Departure from Maramures towards Cluj-Napoca – the most important city of Transylvania. City tour of Cluj-Napoca and check-in at 4* Golden Tulip Ana Dome.
Day 11: Morning departure towards Sibiu – former European Capital of Culture in 2007. On the way, visit Alba Iulia. In the evening pedestrian tour in Sibiu and accommodation for two nights at 3* Ibis Sibiu.
Day 12: Discover Astra Village Museum just outside Sibiu. In the afternoon, short drive to Sibiel village for a visit at the Glass Icon Museum – the biggest one in the world of its kind and traditional Romanian farewell dinner at Reghina's farm house.
Day 13: Trip through Olt Valley with visits at Cozia and Curtea de Arges Monasteries and transfer to the airport in Bucharest. END OF SERVICES.
